As an active DJ and producer in the New Zealand scene for the last 6 years, his cleverly crafted sets and original tracks are gaining a great response internationally, from djs, crowds and labels alike. With current and forthcoming releases on labels such as labels as Revolution, Commercial Suicide, Syndrome Audio, Samurai & Critical Music, his tunes are gaining support from the best in the business such as Andy C, The Upbeats, Dj Friction and Break (to name a few). Dose is currently embarking on his debut European tour, playing gigs in Slovakia, Germany, England, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland and Holland and with an ever increasing dj & release schedule Dose is fast cementing his name as one of New Zealand’s leading Dnb artists.
Rregula - Since the formation of Rocking Drum and Bass Power Duo "BaD RoBoT" in 2003 (with ludicrous kiwi DnB personality Phetsta) Rregula hasn't looked back. Having paid his 12" dues with numerous successful Bad Robot releases on labels such as BSE , Technique and Habit , Rregula turned to solo production. Breakthrough tunes like "Corner Hash Man" on Shadybrain004 opened the doors to a healthy roster of respected labels that Rregula now has releases on. Also teaming up with Germany's Dementia, together they have carved a sound of their own and have seen them hold releases on such labels as DSCI4, Trust in Music, and Triple Visions Disturbed and Citrus. Dj'ing has seen Rregula headline shows from his hometown in Perth, to Europe and the USA. 2008 sees the reformation of Bad Robot and the evolution of Rregula's unique vibe of mysterious rolling dirt-chunk neuro".

[ Cally&Juice ]

Rise presents this special club event featuring the UK's "Cally & Juice - It is impossible to mention Hard Dance in the UK without bringing Cally & Juice into the conversation. Their clever and unorthodox style behind the decks has won them many admirers around the globe and their constant re-writing of the rules keeps people flocking to the front of the decks to see what they’ll be doing next. Whether it’s frantic scratching with feet, blindfolded scratching or even hand-spins on the decks, you can guarantee these boys will keep you entertained.
On the production front, since parting company with Nukleuz two years ago, the boys have launched their own label to push their unique sound, which they simply describe as “our own fusion of hard trance and hardstyle with elements of drum & bass, old skool, hip hop, and any other genre that influence us thrown in for good measure”. The label, aptly named ‘Ourstyle’ completely sums up not just their production ideas but also everything they’re trying to contribute to the scene. In late 2008 they had the prestigious honour of remixing “Lost In Dreams”, the official Q-Base anthem. They are the first UK act to ever be asked to remix/write a track for the mighty Q-Dance brand and it has received rave reviews from all over Europe.
With at least 10 releases already planned for 2009 the boys show no signs of slowing down, their passion and hunger for their work is stronger now than it’s ever been. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch one of their mind-blowing DJ sets you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t seen them before then make it a priority – You won’t regret it!!!.".

FORCE Crew present this special underground benefit event...featuring a bangin lineup as you expect from these nights as well as your chance to support the night and raise funds for The Force Radio hosting etc.
Wicked informal & good atmosphere at this party - good bangin tunes & cool setup - all with a backdrop of a wicked electrical storm - must be said that this event was NOT to take on or contest with other events on this night, some people seemed convinced (& indeed were trying to convince others) that this was a political effort by FORCE...meh...the venue was available and it was done. Personally speaking if a non flyered, barely mentioned (other than here & on the forums) takes punters away from another party that was 'properly' advertised then perhaps the other gigs were not offering what people wanted? I dunno...just a comment...PeAcE OuT!

Venue : Malaga Warehouse (same location as Pulse) 10pm-late. An all ages event.
Tickets : $10 entry on the door.

[ NightmareIII ]
-== Nightmare III [Sat 14th Mar 09] ==-

DJ's :- DJ Promo (Holl), Hutcho vs ST, J Nitrous vs Access, Techen vs ST, Dair, more TBA.
MC's :- Whiskey, Matrix, Hutcho, other drunken yobs.

F.O.R.C.E Entertainment presents this massive HaRdCoRe & Gabba-themed event, playing perth's Darkest, Hardest, Nastiest DJ's playing Gabba, Hardstyle, Speedcore, HaRdCoRe, Dark DnB & more - also this time featuring the legend that is Holland's DJ Promo!
"Sebastian Hoff, also known as Promo, was born on April 12 1976 and started DJ-ing in 1992. Because he didn’t have a resident club, he organized his own events in local clubs. Because of this, he came in contact with well-known names in the hardcore scene. At the age of 19, Sebastian produced his first track under the alias Section-8 together with Prophet, The that became a hit thanks to the release on Thunderdome IX - The Revenge Of The Mummy. His success continued when he produced a remix of the song 'Don't Speak', which he called 'Shut Up!' that was released on the same record (Shut Up! / Born Whappie!) as his remix of 'Born Slippy' (Born Slippy) 'Born Whappie!'. Although it was a success, he didn’t like the style. The Hardcore sound of the mid-90’s was to happy, and he missed the strong, and raw sound, which was (in his opinion) the true way hardcore should sound. In 1996 Sebastian, already known as the famous DJ Promo, was contracted by ID&T. Under the ID&T label Sebastian produced over 80 tracks, but his strong, and more raw sound was loved by the hardcore-fans. In 2000, he decided to leave ID&T so he can do what he want, experiment with the sound of hardcore until he found what he wanted. Without the limits of the record-company. Together with his colleagues of ID&T DJ X-Ess and Catscan the The Third Movement label was born. This was a step forward into the direction he wanted to go. His first releases on his own new label look like statements against ID&T. Running Against The Rules and My Recipe For Disaster even features a spoken message called 'Move Forward'. Because of DJ X-Ess and Catscan left The Third Movement 2004 to start there own label, Promo was the man-in-charge of The Third Movement. With this label he succeeded in what he wanted, creating his own style, sound, and giving new names the same opportunity. Artist like D-Passion, Peaky Pounder, Tommy Pulse and an other old colleague Dana were given the chance to develop there own style. Sebastian’s style is still changing and it will stay changing for a long time".

DJ's - Bryan G (UK), Access, Illusn, Sabin, Stiltz, Mercenary, Mannerism.
MC's :- Webbz, Bear, Tenacity.

Inhibit & EDM.Promotions presents this special DnB club event featuring the UK's legendary Bryan G (V Recordings, Liquid V, Chronic). "Bryan's involvement with music began at 13 when he started DJing at Reggae sound-systems, but was always checking all kinds of music: from jazz, soul, funk, then rare groove and hip hop. The defining moment musically came with the emergence of acid house in 1987. A totally new sound, a totally different vibe. It was right up hiss street. It was the foundation of Drum n Bass as we know it today. In essence Bryan Gee's musical history reflects the history of Drum n Bass: a unique, urban London sound influenced by a mix of musical genres that developed from Acid House, Jungle and ultimately into DnB. Like him, the music he plays never stands still and you can be sure that with every major development in the style he'll be there - and he'll probably have the music in his record box before anybody else! Today Bryan Gee remains equally committed to pushing drum n bass forward both as a DJ, label manager and promoter. In between a hectic international DJ career, managing V Recordings and co-promoting 'Movement'".

Archie’s talents have been recognised by his ever adoring fans for the ITM50 both statewide and nationally, with consistent top 20 placings. OldSkool.com.au presents this very, very special Old School event - possibly the biggest Perth has seen, featuring UK Rave legends Altern8 LIVE (Watch Ya Bass Bins!!!) and Sydney's Sasha Vatoff (mixer of the Ministry of Sound - Rave Anthems pack). "Perth its your turn to go Back To The OldSkool!
Altern-8 (UK) - is the HaRdCoRe/breakbeat rave duo consisting of Mark Archer and Chris Peat. In their day they helped to set trends in HaRdCoRe Techno style, with several anthems and even charting Top40 hits (nice radio edits of their Rave trax), and a style of music that became progressively faster, with more bass, and definitely more noise. During this period, HaRdCoRe Techno was moving away from the style of House music that was already around, and Altern-8 were moving with it.
Sasha Vatoff - Sasha is paving the way in the Australian Dance scene as one of the leaders of the Old Skool Rave movement with his REUNION events. Having played Oldskool Live sets at Sydney's Big Day Out 09 and at events such as Global Gathering and Future Music Festival, Sasha has quickly made a new name for himself and has just mixed the latest Ministry of Sound Compilation 'Rave Anthems'". -== Beat Mash vs Next Level : [Wed 29th Jul 09] ==-

DJ's :- Dair, Rommel, Frantik, D-Vise, J-Nitrous, Access, Illusiv, Rowdy, Xander, Vitriol.

Inhibit & Next Level present this special version of this great weekly DnB club night (aka Closing Down Party Pt.1) - Beat-mash @ Bar Open has gone from strength to strength packing the club every Wednesday. So the INHIBIT crew have been nice enough to invite NEXT LEVEL RECORDS to take the reins for a special closing bash for Next Level Recs...
(Words from owner - Russell Dair) - "Next Level has been my life for the past four years. We battled the odds from day one and I built our reputation from nothing to an award winning shop, so I’m happy I’ve achieved something positive for myself and for the people of Perth. I put my life into the shop and always tried to stock the largest and freshest selection of tunes and be as helpful as possible to whoever walked in the door. Everyone was always welcome at Next Level and I always tried to make everyone feel as much of the family as possible. The shop’s success was due to the overwhelming support and love we got from all the customers and punters, many who have become my good friends, so I could never thank everyone enough for that. Although I opened and run the shop from day 1, I will always believe it was the peoples shop. Next Level has been a great passion in my life but I have decided to use this opportunity to move on to bigger and better things for my career. Since I started dj’ing in 1998 I have also been producing music and signed to some exclusive UK labels, and those close to me know that is my passion in life. When I was 18 I dreamt of going overseas and writing a tune and playing a gig or two. I ended up signing to a load of UK labels, releasing over twenty tracks and toured the UK & America 3 times & that was the result of passion & dedication. So I was happy to succeed there – but I had to put everything in my life aside to get there. I dreamt of owning a record store so I put everything aside in my life and did it. I believe it has been a great success in my life and winning an award against much larger and established competitors confirmed it. The shop has been a major success and I put everything into it, but it wasn’t all my life was about. My main focus now is writing tunes, running a studio and record label. It’s now at the point where I need to focus on these projects if I’m to make them the next success in my life. Producing music under the name Dair and was very successful so I will now focus all my energy into my new group JOUST and making that a success. I understand that closing the shop may let a lot of people down, but I have given over 10 years service to the Perth scene and run the shop for four of them. I’ve given my heart and soul and loved every minute of it so I hope people can understand that this is the end of a chapter in my life, but I’m moving on to bigger and better things.
I would never sell my soul, so Next Level is not up for sale.
That’s been years of my work and dedication & Next Level will continue to promote one off parties leaving Next Level Records (the shop) to rest in peace as a part of history.
Thank you to every last DJ, club promoter, raver, clubber, guy, girl, mum, dad and anyone that supported Next Level over the years. I could never of imagined all the love and support we have had. Means a lot to me and always will. I feel very loved.
I will always be proud of Next Level Records - thanx for the memories". ReSpeKt mate - see u there!

FORCE Entertainment & TeKNoLoGy CoRpS present this special Hard-Themed event - "An all night absolute onslaught of the hardest and nastiest sounds we could ever hope for in the perth underground. Featuring styles like Gabber / Speedcore / Terrorcore / Hardstyle, Hard NRG + more, by the best of what force has to offer when it comes to nasty sounds. IF you like it hard & nasty = this is for you !!!!!!! If you like soft & easy = then maybe stay @ home cuddle up & listen to Britney Spears! The battle is on to find our very own master of the hard sounds....i'll let you guys tell me who you think deserves this title. We only have 1 question = can you actually keep up with the hard sounds?
Decibel - No warm up here - just straight into it, tear-out nasty music last heard at nightmare 3.0.
Pace - the all ages hardcore master who has been rocking huge force crowds for years now takes on the hardstyle sounds exclusive for Turbulence...you dont want to miss out on this first time exclusive!
Ol'Bill - like i said before - be very afraid when this guys around, proper gabber, mcing and last weekend even jumped off stage to thrash out with everyone to his own set. Now that is real passion for the music!
Hutcho - The Perth legend himself who's has been rocking it hard for us for nearly 20 yrs now, what more can you expect from this guy - ohh thats right the nastiest hardest styles of music known to humans.
Steak - what more can we say about this guy - except even dj promo (nl) was very impressed by his skill and passion for everything hard dark nasty - also i hear we are looking at speedcore and more if you can keep up that is - you are officialy warned.
Maloonatic vs Mindcancer - the scottish boys are in town and its time to be prepared for the onslaught of oldskool style gabber, time for a bit of education on where it all came from. I think its time we showed these guys perth's underground hard scene knows how to rock.
ST - have to say one of the nicest guys to talk to around this scene, but when he is on the decks playing nasty hardstyle - you had better lookout, only thing left to do is stomp hard till the floor collapses.
Beni C - the king of www.radio.forcewa.com and the winner of the pdma for best hard house in perth, i'd say let the man do what he does best , take you on a journey of the filthiest hard house / nrg styles possible, to hell and back...

DJ's :- Ronski Speed (GER), GeRmAn, Simon Barwood, Steven Tranzor, Scott Nelson.

Rise/Revolution presents this special Trance club event - "German DJ and producer Ronski Speed, has created some of the most in demand tracks and remixes of the past decade. His records have been hammered by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten. Starting his musical career in 1997, he quickly became a part of the brand new label Euphonic as an artist, A&R and friend. In 2000 he remixed the now legendary “Glass Garden” by Sonorous, which became a massive club hit. Over the next few years Ronski co-produced many tracks but it was in 2003 when his first solo single “Iris” was released was followed up by “E.O.S” in 2004, the same year he first entered the DJ Mag Top 100. The collaborative hits kept coming with “Asarja” (with Mirco De Govia), “Sole Survivor” (with Sebastian Sand) and “Incognition” (with Stoneface & Terminal) became one of the most in-demand progressive trance tunes of 2005. Over the next 2yrs Ronski was kept in the spotlight with standout remixes for Above & Beyond, Luminary ft. Ashley Tomberlin, Tatana, Carl B, DT8 Project, ATB and Heather Nova. His singles “The Space We Are”, “Soulseeker” (again in collaboration with Stoneface & Terminal) “Stormbound” under the guise RST and “Love All The Pain Away” with Dutch singer Julie Scott found their way onto the playlists of all the big names as Ronski toured the world. In 2007 as Euphonic celebrated its 10th anniversary with the release of Sun Decade's “I'm Alone” and the mash-up “E.O.S. vs. Satellite” between Ronski Speed and Oceanlab created a stir. Markus Schulz mashed up another track of Ronski Speed with Rex Mundi's “Perspective”. The result: “The Perspective Space” was released on Armin Van Buuren's Label Armada as Ronski climbed up to his highest 44th position in the DJ Mag Top 100. This year has seen two of Ronski’s singles, “Are You?” and “The Deep Devine”, taken from his album “Pure Devotion” hit #1 on the Beatport trance sales charts. New remixes for Oceanlab, Super8 & Tab, Lange, Sebastian Sand and Matt Cerf and new mix compilation “Postive Ways 5” have kept Ronski as busy as ever in 2009."

DJ's :- DJ Phantasy (UK), Randall (UK), Micky Finn (UK), Original Sin (UK), Taxman (UK), Adam F (UK), John B (UK), High Roller.
MC's :- MC Shabba D (UK).

Mizhap Productions present this HUGE DnB Festival gig - "Excitement builds as MAYHEM comes to Perth in what is set to be one of the year’s biggest drum and bass shows. This huge platter of International and local drum and bass artists come together for a day of festivities of epic proportions.
DJ Phantasy, once being quoted for being a “True Skool” DJ brings the dnb pioneer element, along with Randall, who would remain quite happy with his “old skool” title. While some of you may not be 100% familiar with the name Original Sin, all becomes clearer when you realise that this is the production alias of Adam Tindall, one half of Generation Dub – the kings of dance floor drum and bass. Making it a family affair, Original Sin’s little brother, Taxman, steps-up to hang out with the big kids. If you have been anywhere near a dance floor in the last few years, then you would know that this man’s tunes have been receiving the heavy rewind treatment from all top DJ’s in the scene. Adam F and John B technically need no more introduction other than that of their first names (and initial of their last), but I dare go on and say both have achieved huge things in the industry, and continue to do so with a touch of glitter and bucket-loads of eye make-up. Adding to this veteran-style line is MC Shabba D aka “The Lyrical Dappa” as well as “The Wicked Micky Finn”. Micky Finn, the founder of Urban Takeover Records, is one of the original rave scene and jungle pioneers and has been on the scene circuit with Shabba D packing out parties around the world.".
There will be a FREE Shuttle Bus Service to Mayhem. This will run between Guildford Train Station and Belvoir from 12-3pm and Belvoir and Guildford Train Station from 10pm-12am.

The massive 2005 hit "Venus" and more recently “Blueprint”, "Santiago/Stardust" and the just released “St Francis Foley” plus a remix discography that reads like the who‘s who of trance and multi award nominations have cemented Stoneface & Terminal‘s reputation at the forefront of todays music scene.

[ Reunion II ]
-== Reunion II : [Sat 21st Nov 09] ==-

DJ's :- Michael McKenna (9-10pm), Hutcho (10-11pm), Sasha Vatoff (Syd 11pm-12am), Mario Tavelli (12-1am), Miggy (1-2am), Nik Fish (Syd 2-3am), Paul Holden (Syd 3-4am), JJ (4-5am).

OldSkool.com.au presents the return of this huge Old Skool event...just a taster to let you know what's coming, who's playing, with a massive production and much more
Nik Fish (Sydney) - "Nik is one of the original Australian Rave legends with a career spanning 18 years. He is renowned for his work on several musical platforms including DJing, studio production and dance music radio. His career began on radio in the early 90s as a presenter of his own dance music show called Musiquarium. Nik is arguably one of Australia's most popular and well-known DJs - Nik has ranked top 5 in the ITM Technics poll 4 times in the last five yrs. He has traveled extensively, performing in all states and capital cities as well as appearing in regional centres. Nik will be pulling out the best of classic Rave tracks from the early to mid 90s.
Paul Holden (Sydney) - Paul is one of Australia's all-time most successful, versatile and popular DJ's. He is a veteran of the industry and one of the single biggest contributors to the advancement of dance music and dance events in Australia. He also has the untouched reputation of being at the top of the field through all his different musical phases for the whole of his 25 years as a professional DJ. Paul's main musical stylings are Hardhouse, NRG, and Rave, but having DJ'd for so long he also specialises in Old-Skool anthems, Happy-Hard, Hardcore and has a mammoth collection of tracks to bring to Perth for REUNION.
Paul is always described as having a unique sound, identifiably 'Paul Holden', always uplifting, pumpy, melodic, infectious and he is someone with that rare, special ability to genuinely 'read' a crowd and keep them happy and hungry for more.
Sasha Vatoff (Sydney) - Sasha has been paving the way with the Old Skool Rave movement and his REUNION events. Having played Oldskool Live sets at Sydney's Big Day Out 09 and at events such as Global Gathering and Future Music Festival, Sasha has quickly made a new name for himself including mixing the Ministry of Sound Compilation 'Rave Anthems'. He is currently working on a new 'Remix' compilation that will be out towards the end of the year".
Well what a night this was again - although seriously poor effort on a lot of ppl's part to not make it to this - but the many that were there, well they had it large! Mike kicked off the night in fine style buildin the crowd's entrance w/some solid '91-'92 classics. I followed w/a set tendin more towards the UK/Dutch underground Rave breaks w/a smattering of early gabba at tha end (Sorry about the needle jump guys!) Unfortunately poor Paul Holden couldnt make this event as he was in hospital recovering from an operation, Nik Fish and Sasha filling in till 3am when JJ took over for a 2hr House/Rave slog.

DJ's :- Teknik (NZ), Rregula (AUS), Concept, Sempy, Skoptix, Decept.

The Cube presents...this special DnB club event, this time featuring -
Teknik (NZ) - "no stranger to making noise, either in the studio or the DJ booth. As a DJ, he has supported and played alongside a long list of D'n'B's heavy hitters as well as becoming a headlining act in his own right, performing all around NZ and Oz, leaving a strong impression on crowds with his selection and precision in the mix. He's also made a name for himself as a producer, and has shared the studio with the likes of Bulletproof, The Upbeats, Phace, Psidream, Dose, Trei, Menace, Cern and Nymfo. In the process he has racked up a string of releases on a diverse selection of labels, including several of DnB's biggest and most respected imprints, such as 'Renegade Hardware', 'Soul:R', 'Project 51', 'Horizons Music', 'Citrus', 'Cyanide' and 'Nightfall' are all already available on record store shelves, and there's more to come, with fresh solo material on the way, as well as a remix for NZ chart-topper Tiki Taane and further collaborative efforts with other like-minded producers all currently in the works.
Rregula - Since the formation of Rocking Drum and Bass Power Duo "BaD RoBoT" in 2003 (w/Phetsta), he hasn't looked back. Having paid his 12" dues with numerous successful Bad Robot releases on labels such as 'BSE', 'Technique' and 'Habit', he turned to solo production. Breakthrough tunes like "Corner Hash Man" on 'Shadybrain' opened the doors to a healthy roster of respected labels that Rregula now has releases on. Also teaming up with Germany's Dementia, together they have carved a sound of their own and have seen them hold releases on such labels as 'DSCI4', 'Trust in Music', 'Triple Visions Disturbed' and 'Citrus'. DJ'ing has seen him headline shows from his hometown in Perth, WA, to Europe and the USA. 2008 saw the reformation of Bad Robot and the evolution of Rregula's unique vibe of mysterious rolling dirt-chunk neuro".

-== ShockOne & Phetsta - The Sun Launch [Fri 18th Dec 09] ==-

DJ's :- Shockone, Phetsta, Greg Packer, Skirmish, Sabin.
MC's :- Bear, Rtilary.

Inhibit present this special DnB club event - "Two of Australia’s most wanted producers, Shockone and Phetsta, have returned with The Sun 2009, a heated rework of the track that bagged the Perth duo the 2008 ‘Best Tune’ title at the Perth Dance Music Awards. The exhilarating new track comes not a beat too soon, with the festival season truly underway and a summertime of clubbers in need of an upbeat soundtrack. The Sun 2009 is it. Following the success of Cyclones and Polygon over the past year that saw Shockone and Phetsta placed deservedly on high rotation through the radio airwaves, the boys think they’ve finally found the track that shows what they’re about. “To me, The Sun 2009 sums up who we are,” said Phetsta. “We've really focused in on what makes the collaboration work so well. I believe we've successfully shaped the sum of its parts into the best track we've ever written. If people don't know what ShockOne & Phetsta are about, this is the track that will show them.” The Sun 2009 shows off duo’s trademark electro drum n bass crossover sound. Pounding electro synth stabs, flawless drum fills and the unique blend of cutting edge production, catchy hooks and euphoric vocals make this Shockone and Phetsta’s cosmic masterpiece. Shockone is thrilled with the tune’s outcome and believes the track will do nothing less than damage dance floors. “I've always been completely useless at gauging whether anything I write is decent or not, but when writing The Sun 2009, everything came together so quickly and the energy was there in the song from very beginning, we knew something special was in the works,” Shockone said. “The response this tune gets from crowds at shows always blows me away.” Accompanied by Shockone and Phetsta's first ever film clip, The Sun 2009 is undoubtedly a stand-out, not just amongst the year’s drum n bass releases, but as a world-class production. The Sun 2009 is available on iTunes and in record stores now".
